Joka vuosi Suomessa syntyy tonneittain omenoita. Osa näistä omenanpoikasista sairastuu parantumattomaan muumiotautiin. Heidän emäpuunsa pyrkii pudottamaan sairaat yksilöt maahan, josta ihmisten toivotaan hävittävän ne polttamalla tai hautaamalla maahan.
Onkohan kukaan koskaan kelannut, miltä se tuntuu näistä sairaista yksilöistä?
